Questions and Answers
Feb 1 2008, 3:42 PM EST Answer. When one hears a republican say, "All democrats do is tax and spend." The answer is: All republicans do is borrow and spend and leave the bill for our children to pay. Question. Recently the annual most admired man and woman were picked; overwhelmingly, the most admired man in America was George W. Bush. Who in hell were the pollsters asking? Answer. When you hear a republican say, "We have to fight them there so we don't have to fight them here." Answer: Who's going to pay their bus fare to get here. The people that are fighting are poorer than dirt, don't have two nickels to rub toether, and wouldn't know how to get here in any case. Besides that, what is that saying for Homeland Security (HS)? If HS can't stop them, why are we spending all that money on it. Question: Why don't we have a campaign season that starts six weeks before the general election? And any mention of running for an office before that deadline should be dealt with jail time. Answer: Eliminate off-year elections. Make all elections fall at the same time. Otherwise we are in a constant state of electioneering. Answer: Have one standard method of counting ballots in all 50 states. 3 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Questions and Answers
Feb 1 2008, 5:20 PM EST I think that is a really good Idea, only 6 weeks of campaigning. We have been campaigning for president sense the election in 2006. I really think it is time for all Americans to have a say in who is elected to run for their party. Why even have primarys in states now. I haven't heard one candidate tell us how they are going to go about making the changes they promise. All the money that has been wasted on these elections so far. I think the woman at the polls here in Michigan stated that the primary cost the state 10 million dollars. And the democratic votes did not count, what a waste of money. We could have had more money for programs for the mentally illness or developmentally disabled, more money for the schools, more money for health care, more money for state parks, more money to fix the roads and more money to build jobs. Meanwhile the media is so drawn into the process that they are not even bothering to talk about anything that is real news. Unless we are lucky enough to get BBC news, we don't even know what is going on in this country. I think if I hear the names Clinton or Obama again I'm going to scream. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
